What does one token actually buy?

Think in tasks, not tokens. A quick question or a statute lookup is roughly 15 tokens. A case-law search runs about 50. A research memo with citations is around 70. Drafting a notice or contract is about 90, a formal opinion around 200, a full SLP paper book about 300, and a deep-research run across web and scholarly databases about 350. Verified mode — where Lucy double-checks every citation — costs more than Speed mode. Bigger tasks cost more than smaller ones; Lucy bills only for what she actually does. The “what each plan fits” panel above this FAQ translates each plan into typical work for a month.

Is GST included in these prices?

No. All paid prices are before GST. India's standard 18% GST is added at checkout. So ₹1,000 Essentials = ₹1,180 all-in; ₹2,000 Professional = ₹2,360.

Who qualifies for the Student plan?

Law students only. Open the Students page (linked in the nav), pick "Law Student", and upload your college or university ID. After verification (usually within 24 hours), you're set up on the Student plan — 350 tokens every month, free. Practitioners won't see the Student plan.

How do I pay?

All major Indian payment methods — UPI, credit/debit cards, wallets, and netbanking — via Razorpay. Payment is instant and tokens go live immediately.

What happens when I run out of tokens?

Two options: move to a higher plan at your next renewal, or buy a top-up pack on the spot. Top-ups are available on Essentials and Professional.

How does billing work?

All paid plans are monthly, paid upfront. There is no auto-renewal — we don't hold a mandate on your account, and you won't be charged automatically. At the end of each cycle, we'll send you a reminder to renew for the next month. This is deliberate: recurring-payment mandates don't work reliably through Indian banks, so we use reminders instead. No surprise charges, no stale-card failures.

Can I change my plan?

Yes. Tell us before your next renewal and we'll switch you over — you pay for the new plan starting next cycle.

Do tokens roll over?

Your plan resets each month with a fresh allowance. If you need more mid-month, top up anytime.
